Live or Virtual Individualized 1:1 Adaptive Fitness Training Award
Description: Through this award the AFL will provide the recipient with 1 comprehensive Adaptive Fitness Assessment and 11 Adaptive Fitness Sessions with a DPI trainer focused on improving neural plasticity and/or maintaining health and wellness to prevent secondary complications through adaptive fitness education and training provided by a qualified adaptive fitness organization.
The AFL has contracted the services of DPI Adaptive Fitness in Fairfax, VA to provide the services for this 1:1 Adaptive Fitness Training award.
Following the Adaptive Fitness Assessment and discussion with any current medical providers (Doctors or Therapists) a program design will be implemented based on goals set forth by the adaptive fitness trainer and the participant with the expectation for the participant to attend 2 weekly visits until completion.
Requirements: Application submission and approval by the AFL, consistent attendance, as well as a Medical Release from the participant's medical doctor. All are mandatory.
