Dan McGovern
Vice President
Dan was born and raised in Springfield, MA and currently resides in Northern Virginia. During his 15+ year career as a System Engineer working with the DoD and the US Navy, he has helped grow the small business he works for from 15 to over 500 employees.
Dan experienced a spinal cord stroke two years ago that made him a quadriplegic, and he learned very quickly that adaptive fitness was incredibly important for his physical well-being, mental health, and continued improvement. It has helped him to be a better husband to his wife and father to his 6 year old son, giving him the strength and endurance to keep up with a toddler.
By serving as the Vice President for the AFL, Dan hopes to help bring adaptive fitness to anyone that needs it.
